Historic House Auction Preview this Saturday in Palm Desert
5/18/2007 8:11:44 PM (Eastern Daylight Time, UTC-04:00)

I really would love to bid on this magnificent property close to all the action in Hollywood's winter playground. "Hoppy's House" was built in the 1950s desert style now popular again. Built for a Hollywood legend, William Boyd (known as Hopalong Cassidy) and his wife, the home features many amenities not usual in a mid-century house.

If you have a lot of clothes, you will love the giant walk-in closet with built-in dressers. Built for entertaining, the house even has a movie room that could make a perfect home theater. The house was one of the first homes to have an outdoor kitchen--another feature today's Southern California home owners favor.

But the really awesome feature is the private patio off the main bedroom that has its own pool entrance that you enter and swim under the wall to the main pool.
